What's wrong with being a "core gamer"? I've been one all my life!

Uh-oh, here we go again!

So annoying when games are released as clients on consoles. Title updates were supposed to be convenient, but we shouldn't have to switch on a game to find that it then has to install most of its content surely.

Sounds good, I really liked Raid Mode on the 3DS so will probably pull the trigger on this.

Still thinking Type-1.

Erm, how are people disagreeing? http://www.game.co.uk/en/as...

One huge price too. Looking at UK retailers, they're asking for upwards of £40 in some cases!

@Toon_Link: Heh, I guess that writing stuff "top 5 reasons why the NX is awesome" is better for hits.

I'm exaggerating, but not by much :P

But yes, it was a good move. Nintendo are making so many of them recently and I have high hopes for their mobile initiative.

Totally agreed, and so does the article actually.

"I wonder if Nintendo mentioned the NX specifically to quell the inevitable backlash that would have otherwise followed this press conference. "Nintendo are abandoning consoles." "Nintendo don't care about real gaming.""

It was a deliberate move, but it has actually become the main talking point while their mobile games goes either under-reported or ignored.

Awesome. The game plays surprisingly well on my Windows tablet, so an optimised iOS version should rock.

Gosh, an inflatable blue shell would be amazing.

Final Fanatasy: Type-1?

Oh man, you need to get some pics up if you make it happen! Awesome project idea.

@bggriffiths: Yeah, it's good for wallet credit too in case there's nothing you need right now.

EDIT: ugh, that was supposed to be a reply.

It starts to great after a while.

Also, someone needs to learn more adjectives. Or at least use an online thesaurus, seriously. :P

Yeah, it's ridiculous.

Right on. I actually think it's healthy that some reviewers are factoring social issues and current events into their reviews in specific useful instances, but this is just stupid.

As you say, they started developing the game years ago. Should they have just cancelled it? Should it have made another Six Days In Fallujah?

Get a grip D'Toid. It's a blockbuster about big guns, crazy criminals and Bad Boys-style cops, not a pro police brutality call t...

Okay, this is unfair. Toys are so much better now.

I know it's kinda sacrilegious to say it, but our toys sucked in comparison. Yoyo's and Stretch Armstrong, anyone?

Oh I take your point (I haven't disagree voted), but I'm talking about more practical things (i.e. the level design, the load zones, the pick and up play structure, the primitive geometry, the map etc all have cut corners to allow for a PSP release).

Still an ambitious and awesome game, though, and I don't wanna look a gift horse in the mouth!

I agree, and so does the review.

"It's a crying shame that Type-0 HD wasn't developed for Vita instead, since we'd have forgiven these compromises in a portable title."

Should have been a Vita game, at the risk of repeating myself for the third time and sounding like a broken record.

That said, decent job with the controls etc, and there is that demo...

"I stared at the screen agonising over some of the decisions at several points, kicking myself afterwards in a few cases. If anything, these moments perfectly display the effectiveness of the writing, with both personal and wider moral decisions presented before the player. "

Oh hell yes. Ragnar Tornquist is a legend (The Secret World was amazing) and looks like he hasn't lost his touch!

Always up for games that let me feel like I'm making b...

Seriously, this really should be coming to Vita. Porting from a PSP to another handheld is one thing, but jumping an entire generation and an entire form factor/platform is crazy.

Still, at least we get to play it. That's what matters at the end of the day.
